REGISTRATION FEES for classes Monday to Friday, August 12 – 16.

Harp classes are half days

No online registrations will be accepted after August 8, however registrations and payments can be made in person until August 12
Note: Students need to bring their own instrument as required, or rent one.
Long and McQuade has a wide variety of instruments available.
This program is for students with little or no background in band instruments. No previous musical experience is necessary. A great opportunity to learn an instrument coached by experienced, patient and encouraging teachers.
For students with one or two years’ experience in a school music program, or private lessons. Our students tell us that their week in August at the Kincardine Summer Music Festival makes a huge difference in their playing! And they return to school in September more confident in their increased musical ability
More advanced students will enjoy the challenges in this program. Students have daily sectionals, coachings, and ensemble rehearsals. They not only perform in the Festival Senior Band, but also play in either the Festival Symphony Orchestra or one of several smaller ensembles, such as a sax ensemble or a brass choir. Daily sectionals, coachings and band rehearsals allow students to become familiar with a variety of exciting and interesting music.
A fun, relaxed introduction to string playing for students with no background in string instruments. No previous musical experience is necessary!
This program is for students with some playing experience. A variety of music will be played in daily ensembles, sectionals, coachings and orchestra rehearsals. Students form the Festival Junior String Orchestra.
More advanced students will enjoy the challenges in this program. Students have daily sectionals, coachings, and orchestra rehearsals. Students from this program form the Festival Senior String Orchestra and also play in the Festival Symphony Orchestra.
This is a terrific opportunity to experience the exhilaration of playing in a symphony orchestra. Students from the Festival Senior Strings Orchestra are joined by members of the Senior Band to form the Festival Symphony Orchestra.
Adult (18 and older)
Introduction to traditional fiddle tune repertoire and techniques – with Will Henry
This program is aimed at listening and learning the melodies by ear, with an introduction to the traditional enhancements and ornaments used to give fiddle tunes and dance rhythm, suitable for all levels of ability.
Beginning guitar is for students with no previous musical experience. It is not necessary to be able to read music. This program is for both acoustic and electric guitars. Sorry, no bass guitars.
For students with some experience playing guitar. Our expert teachers will help you improve and learn new skills on the guitar.
This program is for both acoustic and electric guitars.
Students of all levels of experience are welcome.
Our experienced professional teachers will help you learn new skills and improve performance.
Age 12 to Adult
Want to learn to play the harp? Not difficult to learn even with no previous musical experience. Learn in half-day sessions taught by ear and/or using print music.
