MESSIAH 2022 ROB DAVIDSON, VIOLA

Rob Davidson, a retired elementary school teacher, studied Viola at Wilfrid Laurier University prior to getting his Bachelor of Education at Brock University.  Using the skills learned from the Laurier composition course, he has composed a few pieces for string quartet, and has had an orchestral short piece performed by the Georgian Bay Symphony.

Alongside being a member of the Viola section of the GBS, he is the orchestra’s librarian.  During the pandemic, Rob was the video editor for the GBS orchestra’s 9 online concerts.

This is Rob’s second opportunity to join the Messiah orchestra as principal viola.
