Born near Owen Sound, Kati has received international recognition as a pianist, vocalist, and electronic musician. Ms. Gleiser has received her doctorate in Piano Performance at Indiana University. Kati has appeared throughout the United States as an active proponent in new electro-acoustic piano repertoire, and
regularly commissions new works for piano and electronics.
Kati will be appearing as a guest soloist at Sweetwater Summer Music Festival in Owen Sound, Ontario, September 15-17, 2017.
Wingham native Thomas began playing cello at the age of 8 in the Kincardine Summer Music Festival. Currently Thomas is in his first year of studies for a Masters in Music Performance, after completing his Artist Diploma and Bachelor of Music Honors Cello Performance at McGill University, all under the tutelage of Yegor Dyachkov.
Part of his orchestral training at McGill includes playing as principal and section cellist with the McGill Symphony Orchestra under the artistic direction of Maestro Alexis Hauser.
Thomas currently plays as principal cellist with the Cambridge Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Sabatino Vacca, and as section cellist with Pronto Musica, a non-profit orchestral training program based in Montreal.
He recently won the principal cello position with l’Orchestre Symphonie de l’Agora, a Montreal based orchestra with a mission to raise funds for charitable causes, under the direction of Nicolas Ellis.
