FREE 4 O’Clock in the Park Concert August 12: KINCARDINE BRASS BAND

The Kincardine Brass Band was founded in the fall of 2001. This inter-generational band is a British-style brass band composed of traditional instruments such as cornets, tenor and baritone horns, euphoniums, trombones and basses. The KBB plays a variety of music including marches, arrangements of traditional tunes, sacred pieces, and some popular music. Members of the Kincardine Brass Band hail from Port Elgin, Hanover, Wingham, Goderich and many points in between. Most members of the band belong to at least one other band, and in most cases, more than one.  Band director, Nancy Ross of Goderich, is a UWO graduate with degrees in Music and Education.

Recently added to this ensemble is the Kincardine Youth Brass Band, directed at young people from grade 6-12.  This group will be performing with the KBB Sunday afternoon.  Don’t miss it!
